Member Input Needed: Biomanufacturing and Regulatory Requests for Information

The White House Office of Science and Technology Policy recently released two Requests for Information: National Biotechnology and Biomanufacturing Initiative and Identifying Ambiguities, Gaps, Inefficiencies, and Uncertainties in the Coordinated Framework for the Regulation of Biotechnology. Both of these RFIs will help create the future of bioindustrial manufacturing in the United States.

BioMADE is preparing a collective response to both RFIs, and your contributions can positively impact government action that will advance the biomanufacturing ecosystem. These RFIs will inform actions related to President Biden’s Executive Order on Biomanufacturing and Biotechnology.

Our goal is to make BioMADE’s response to this RFI as reflective of our member ecosystem as possible. We encourage all members to contribute to a BioMADE response by completing surveys and/or participating in a virtual roundtable event. We’ll anonymize all feedback and organize a cohesive response that represents our members. The time you spend working on this may be reported as part of the in-kind annual membership dues for your organization. In addition to providing us your thoughts and feedback, we encourage you to submit a response of your own.

Please reach out to hello@biomade.org with any questions. We look forward to your responses!
