Attend a Public Webinar about BioMADE’s Project Calls
BioMADE is now accepting White Paper submissions for Technology & Innovation projects and Education & Workforce Development projects. Join us for public webinars about each Project Call to hear from program leaders about funding focus areas, best practices, and priorities, plus time for questions. See below for details.
Nov. 12: Education and Workforce Development
BioMADE is seeking Education and Workforce Development projects that will advance the current and future bioindustrial manufacturing workforce. Projects should:
– Build awareness of bioindustrial manufacturing with key stakeholders
– Close the skills and competencies gaps to train the pre-employment workforce
– Train the current workforce to develop skills related to cutting-edge technologies
BioMADE is particularly interested in bold proposals that demonstrate strong commitment and collaborations with industry members, and include multiple collaborators.
Learn more about the Education and Workforce Development Project Call on Friday, November 12 at 12:00 EST / 11:00 CST. Program leaders will cover priority funding areas, best practices, and more. There will be plenty of time to ask questions.
Education and Workforce Development Teaming Opportunities
BioMADE encourages teaming among organizations for our upcoming Project Call. If you’re looking for a project team for an Education and Workforce Development White Paper, sign up to present a teaming slide at the public webinar on Nov 12. Organizations may have one slide and roughly 3 minutes to present. There are two easy steps:
Download the slide template and fill it out with information about capabilities, areas of interest, and what gaps you are trying to fill with a partnership.
Upload the completed slide along with contact information here.
In addition to being presented live on Nov. 12, this information will be disseminated via email to other organizations who are interested in participating on BioMADE projects. Please do not include any proprietary or confidential information in the teaming slides.
To initiate a partnership with another organization, we encourage you to reach out directly to the point of contact listed. Alternatively, you are free to reach out to your own networks to find potential partners. Please keep in mind that partners must become BioMADE members should the White Paper be advanced to a full proposal.
Nov. 19: Technology and Innovation
BioMADE is seeking Technology and Innovation projects that will address priority areas identified in the BioMADE Transition Technical Roadmap and focus on processes or technologies within Manufacturing Readiness Levels (MRLs) 4-7. Projects should address one or more of BioMADE’s four innovation area modules: Manipulate, Accumulate, De-Risk, or Execute.
BioMADE is particularly interested in bold proposals that address the technical needs identified in the Accumulate and De-Risk modules, and specifically innovation areas A1 and D2.
Learn more about the Technology and Innovation Project Call on Friday, November 19 at 12:00 EST / 11:00 CST. Program leaders will cover priority funding areas, best practices, and more. There will be plenty of time to ask questions.
Additional Project Call Details
White papers are due Dec. 21, 2021.
BioMADE is committed to incorporating safety, security, sustainability, and social responsibility into its projects. Proposals should include plans to address one of these four areas and how they will further this mission. Examples include incorporating strategies to improve safety and security of biological engineering and/or by commitments to sustainability and societal issues in ways beyond revenue or capital growth.
Promoting and advancing greater diversity, equity and inclusion within the biomanufacturing field is also critical to BioMADE projects. BioMADE seeks partners who have a demonstrated ability to achieve biomanufacturing innovation and a commitment to advancing opportunities that foster a diverse, inclusive and equitable workforce. Projects partners are expected to demonstrate their commitment and strategy for achieving a diverse workforce through their proposed implementation plan.
Membership is required at the time of white paper submission for the lead organization. Membership will be required for all organizations at the time of full proposal submission. Click here for information about becoming a BioMADE member.
