Announcing SBI Digitally Simplified Bioprocessing Fellowship for Community Colleges
BioMADE is pleased to announce the SBI Digitally Simplified Bioprocessing Fellowship, an exciting new program that will bring state-of-the-art equipment and transformational learning experiences to community and technical college students across the country. This new partnership is made possible thanks to a generous contribution from member organization Scientific Bioprocessing and will bring their real-time solutions to biomass monitoring and bioprocessing technology training resources to classrooms nationwide.
Community and technical colleges who have Biotechnology Career Technical Education programs may apply here for the equipment – 4 Cell Growth Quantifiers (CGQs), 4 Liquid Injection Systems (LIS) with 50 sterile cartridges, and 1 base station and associated set-up accessories – by January 28, 2022. This equipment is valued at over $16,000 and will be provided to up to 20 programs at no cost. Community and technical colleges will be selected based on institutional need, ability to implement curriculum, and industry engagement.
BioMADE and Scientific Bioprocessing will co-host an informational webinar on Friday, January 7 at 1:00 CDT / 11:00 PDT for additional details and to answer questions; click here to register. Awardees will be notified in early March. Community and Technical Colleges do not need to be BioMADE members to apply, but will need to become members should they receive an award.
