4S (Safety, Security, Sustainability, and Social Responsibility) Subcommittee Kick-Off Meeting

Participating on a 4S Subcommittee is a great opportunity to team up with other members to help shape BioMADE’s 4S reach and impact! BioMADE is committed to upholding safety, security, sustainability, and social responsibility as we work together to build the bioindustrial manufacturing ecosystem. Three 4S subcommittees are now open for members to get involved.  Benefits include networking and competency-building in novel areas such as innovative engagement and education, shaping of 4S frameworks and best practices, and actionable communication to inform policy.

All members are welcome to join this introductory kick-off meeting on July 12, 2023, 12:00 – 1:00 pm CT to learn more about the 4S program, meet the sub-committee co-chairs, and learn about the sub-committee opportunities.  No commitment to join is necessary to participate in this event.

Register to attend this meeting here.

The 4S Subcommittees are:

Member engagement: Help shape 4S principles and requirements to incorporate 4S into all BioMADE projects and activities. Build opportunities to engage members in 4S.

Member resources and empowerment: Define how 4S best practices frameworks, regulatory guidance, and other resources, as well as access to subject matter can help meet member needs in 4S.

Public engagement and communications pathways: Identify opportunities to build avenues for dialogue across communities to gather input, assess 4S perception, and promote awareness of needs and values in responsible biomanufacturing.
