  • In order to better inform policy and regulatory efforts, this project will analyze the security and safety implications of biomanufacturing using cell-free systems-based solutions. Learn more here.

  • This project will identify areas of action for the U.S. Government and BioMADE leadership to integrate 4S principles (regarding safety, security, sustainability, and social responsibility) into the BioMADE mission. Learn more here.

  • Bluestem Biosciences and the National Corn-to-Ethanol Research Center (NCERC) worked to boost the bioeconomy of the Midwest by identifying promising commercial opportunities for anaerobic fermentation technology. Through this project, researchers built BlueSTEAM, an open-source code base that simplifies the techno-economic analysis for anaerobic biomanufacturing processes.
